The College of Medicine had always ultimately aimed in graduating highly qualified and specialized doctors who would tend to the health care needs of the men, women, children and elderly of the society of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Avery noble yet gigantic task to be achieved.
Approximately 300 doctors apply for training annually, with an average of 60 doctors are accepted to the different programs of the College of Medicine. For the year 1428-1429H, there were 240 trainee officially enrolled in these programs.
In the past academic year, the College of Medicine with the King Khalid University Hospital as the training ground, had made a big leap with the construction of the new outpatient building, additional lecture halls, new medical equipments, computer based learning, the introduction of highly advanced and sophisticated surgeries and continuous visitation of professors and experts from Europe, US and Canaa. A wide window for training had been opened up to prepare these trainees to meet the growing health care demands.
